Bucking the trend of Ford & GM, Hyundai are pushing for there 7.6B mega EV plant in Georgia to be completed by Oct this year to gain IRA subsidies. Next door is their JV Battery plant with LGES which will start producing late 2025. Hyundai will want IRA & FEOC compliant battery materials from this LGES plant which from 2025 will exclude any materials from China.
