The dry application saves hectares of drying room space and 3 days. When they apply the wet mix to the foil it needs to be dried before it can be used to build a battery.

Did he say copper foil (I didn't watch it)? The cathode is applied to aluminium foil and the anode to copper. They don't have a problem with the dry anode application as graphite is heat resistant. The problem Tesla has is when they speed up the production line it generates heat. The heat is turning the cathode into a gooey mess.
