LGES, Posco, EcoPro all are funding HPAL nickel refining in indo, to the tune of billions, I feel the funding could be incentivised, but the battery makers need that incentive to fund non Chinese anode producers.
So for that reason I want tariffs returned & even by the OEMs reasoning “graphite isn’t an expensive part of the battery” I don’t see it harming general EV uptake, 25% increase in anode is a few hundred dollars per vehicle.
