Posted two days ago.  Seems to be focus on electrodes pilot work.  My take is that the cathode side of the business is more advanced than they've let on.  The patents for cathodes are closer than what the market thinks.

Job Content:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our battery research group in the position of Battery Development Scientist. Responsibilities of this position include:
· Building battery sub-assemblies and cells of various designs for evaluation of improved materials and to meet customer’s battery needs.
· Optimizing battery making processes to ensure baseline product consistency
· Mixing electrode binder solutions and electrode slurries.
· Making electrolyte formulations
· Working closely with researchers regarding novel cell designs and design of experiments for evaluation of new materials.
· Mixing and coating small-scale test electrode materials for material evaluation
· New material characterization
· Documentation of cell making procedures
· Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
· B.Sc. or B.Eng. degree in science, material engineering, chemical engineering, or similar.
· Strong candidates with technician-level work experience will also be considered
· Strong attention to detail
· Good mechanical aptitude
· Excellent problem solving skills
· Self-starter who works well individually and as part of a team
· Strong communication skills
· Is nimble. Can work well in a fast-paced field to accomplish tasks correctly and on time
· Prior research lab work (summer work term, co-op, honour’s, etc.) an asset
Shift work may be needed based on project workload.
While we don’t expect the candidate will have familiarity with all aspects above, we value excellent work ethic, aptitude for learning, and we will provide “on-the-job” training where applicable (dependent on the candidates’ roles and assigned tasks).

This is a full time position with a 3 month probation period.
