Re: qualification- it doesn't matter or non-material in near term. Daimler and CATL have invested in Sila and we may never hear about it until it goes public. Silicon doping will be part of the future, though most range anxiety will have been placated by then with regards to EVs. Perhaps their first niche will be long range semis or eVTOLs, for EVs, depends on how much they can bring the price of batteries down. Our scientists are aware of silicon and currently consider it "a distraction"-they're too busy scaling up now. EVs/ESS are ramping up NOW and by the time silicon gets out of the barn the NMC battery factories will be set. One can reevaluate in 2025 as to the shifting market, I will look at Sila when it goes public.
