I have seen too many legacy/entrenched players throw money at a news startup that they don’t truly understand to lend my conviction to any company no matter how well capitalized. Lordstown motors and Nikola motors have both gotten large investments from legacy. These guys make mistakes and I prefer to build my own conviction.
I do LOVE the Phillips partnership though. Both from a feedstock supply perspective and as we have already seen, from a lobby/network perspective. These folks have deep connections,
one, and soft power. All the incentives are aligned and maybe we can get Phillips pushing on Manchin to back some incentives for new energy in the us infrastructure bill. Would be quite a turntable…
