That little investment by Phillips 66 is also a massive strategic move. There is growing pressure on them to go green and this partnership with Novonix couldn't be any better. Phillips will want to make as much anode out of their Needle Coke as possible using Novonix.

US and EU expansion for anode materials using the cleanest manufacturing methods, this is going to scale fast and hard.

Novonix just ticked a box that was not filled in the US 100 day critical minerals supply chain review, that being the ability to produce graphite on local soil. No wonder Andrew Liveris is excited.

There has been a lot of spotlight on the anode division, we are well over due on the Cathode pilot line and the scale up to a 10T demonstration line being commissioned in 2022. My guess is they are saving this up, let the Anode scale up get its well deserved media coverage, then drop some hot news early 2022, with Jeff Dahn's name all over it for Cathode development!!!!
