When Vehicle to Grid becomes more coming place in EV's in Australia then your car can be used as your home wall battery. If you have a decent solar system and work from home this is a great way to save on costs.
e.g. overnight use your car battery to power your house.
in the morning do the school run then plug the car in to be re-charged by your solar panels during the day.
rinse and repeat.
i have been looking into this as it can work for my situation and my next car will be full electric with Vehicle to Home capability for sure as the savings are huge.
