Don’t discount Sanyo moving to something binding. Panasonic has been busy recently signed an MOU for supply of Natural Graphite. I’ve attached a quote from the release with the CEO referring to securing environmentally friendly North American supply chain. There was also press in Aug about building new 4 billion$ battery plant in Oklahoma.
Kazuo Tadanobu, President & CEO of Panasonic Energy, issued a statement on the company’s recent partnership with NMG.“We are very pleased to be participating in this strategic partnership with NMG, which will allow us to explore the possibility of establishing an environmentally friendly supply chain in North America through a completely new integrated anode production in Canada.
