It takes a very very long time for new technologies to mature (from proof of concept to mass production).
IMO, I do not think silicone anode is a threat yet.

I think the slaughter is due to uncertainties of how the macro will turn out.
1. FOMC meeting - US Fed rates decision due tomorrow. Is it going to rise by 0.25 or 0.5? or is it going to stay flat???
The upcoming Fed rate decision will have an indication of when the Fed will pivot.
2. US-China-Russia tension... President Xi is meeting President Putin at the moment. What are they going to do? Will the conflict escalate as a result of this meeting? Or will the conflict come to an-end???

People tend to sell-off (or at least won't have the guts) to buy during times of uncertainties. The shorts are going to take advantage of this to push it down even further. Also, even the medium term/long term share holders are getting impatient from the silence of the management.
