Looking over my notes on Volkswagen & Powerco, also having a quick search shows VW are yet to sign an agreement with a supplier for Anode or Synthetic Graphite.
(let me know if I have that wrong & have overlooked someone).
I have noted numerous agreements for various battery materials , cathode materials etc but not SG or Anode in the US.
VW clearly indicated they intend to use SG with a silicon content, (just like Novonix down the road produces).
VW also have their Battery Lab, Engineering & planning centre in Chattanooga…That extra land is just yearning for a Battery plant especially if you have a Synthetic graphite producer nearby & you intend ordering in excess of 10,000 tons.
I wonder if the US VW CEO is basing himself locally to oversee such a project.
