With reference just to Toyota and Mazda, it'd be a real shame for their plants in swing states to miss out on so much investment and so many jobs for decades to come if Trump attempted to slow EV uptake. That said, that's all he can do, slow things down.

EV's are clearly the future, and no legacy EV is suggesting that hybrids or range extenders are the long term future - and certainly not ICE vehicles. Remember oil and gas and some car companies are using the same tricks the tobacco companies used for many years to stoke fear and confusion, but change is inevitable.

I won't be counting on a Toyota announcement, but damn, that'd be a doozy if it happened. (NVX have listed Toyota many times in presentations, but always in context with other OEMs and never seemed overly focused on them).
