I don't have access to the full article so it may be a repeat of past news. However, I thought the cathode material was only in pilot stage testing. The title may be a bit misleading

Novonix has manufactured single crystal NMC lithium-ion battery cathode material in partnership with the Obrovac Research Group at Dalhousie University, US.
The battery material was created using the Canadian firm’s proprietary Dry Particle Microgranulation (DPMG) technique the company launched in May.
