Thanks mate, Sam mentions Teslas struggles with the 4680 cell and questions whether Panasonic & LGES will also have troubles. My take was Teslas issues centered around attempting a dry application to the copper foil. Essentially ending up with a “Black gooey mess” I read in an article. Anyone read anything or have opinion on if it’s harder to manufacture a 4680 cell rather than a 2170 if a company sticks to traditional wet slurry applications??
I also noted that he said BMW are “all in on Cylindrical cells as the future”.
