Maybe not technically feasable but one possible advantage, in the future that is,is that the Whyalla facilities maybe could process or semi process other rare earth deposits found in Australia by other companies, a sort of Lego factory for the rare earth industry. So this is another possible revenue stream.
Once they have the skilled personel together and it is fully operational then they are in a strong position competition wise (as is Lynas but it has the extra costs maybe in the future of increased shipping rates as a variable and working in 2 different countries. There are not going to be many new $1 billion facilities built around the world. I think it is a mistake to just see Arafura as a mining company, it is an industrial company as well in the future.
I am agnsotic on both Lynas and Arafura as which is best, I own both, Arafura from the 20cent mark and think both are good companies but developing in different ways. Vive la differance!
