Probably never given the Media's lack of interest in the current price rises ! It will only become an issue when Elon starts to complain which is unlikely given the marginal cost on a Tesla can be passed on to the buyer. The Yanks (military) won't complain because that would be sending a clear message to the Chinese that they embargo is hurting / working.

I think everybody will choose to keep quiet and enjoy the price hike knowing that in 12-18 months time there will be alternative suppliers in the market-place. The only real hurt is going to be a short delay to the Wind Turbine manufacturers and the Green Revolution.
