Sunday Mail 2nd June 2002 Mr. Gavin Wendt, resources analyst at broker Intersuise in Sydney, said the wave of consolidatioin in the gold industry had to happen sooner or later, money has to go in the ground, which supports the exploration market.
Mr Wendt likes Sipa Resources International, which is producing gold at the Mt Olympus project in the Ashburton region of WA and is developing its wholly owned Waugh deposit, 3km from the Mt Olympus treatment plat. Mt Wendt said Waugh should be in production in the second half of the year. Sipa also has a large exploration program in the region and near Broken Hill in NSW.
