We (Vietnam) were very much recovering from and responding to COVID-19, into Q3 CY2022. Major infrastructure projects here require focus, and only recently has the People's Committee returned the highest priority to supporting Vietnam's development ambitions. This aligns with the recent adoption of Vietnam's National Master Plan 2021-2030.
There's an abundance of top-level facilitation to get this project moving in 2023, to support the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam-Australia cooperation. Meetings where the People's Committee is instructing the Son La working group to fast-track development, and include TKNP in the five-year provincial plan have Prescribed Project like impact.
Our local (Vietnam-based) team hired two local senior legal staff, in late 2022, to focus on new tenement applications. I expect we'll have a very busy few months of permitting, with announcements regarding our regional exploration targets. There's little benefit in advertising these too loudly until secured.
