Vinfast have been making a lot of announcements over the last few days. Some reorganisation at the very top, with the VIngroup Founder taking direct control, an investment in vehicle and battery making facilities in India yesterday and just now they're announcing a $1.2b plant in Indonesia to manufacture right hand drive vehicles, batteries etc for sale to the region, including to Australia. I guess they're not looking at Melbourne as a potential manufacturing base anymore. With all of these announcements from Vinfast, at the same time we're raising to get the IRA compliant nickel for the refinery and talking about partners being close perhaps there is cautious cause for optimism.
