    The point is that big money is being put into rare earths at the moment.

    Lynas have built a major plant in Kalgoorlie and are involved in the U.S.

    Iluka received over a billion dollars from the Australian Govt. to build a plant in W.A.

    Arafura have just been offered an 800 million loan for a project in the North of Australia

    ASM have just arranged this 923 million aud loan from the U.S. Govt Exim bank for their DZP project (is still conditional).
    ASM have also been offered 200 million aud from Australia's EFA and the Govt have indicated they are interested in providing more.

    There is a lot happening and there are other Australian companies receiving huge interest in the U.S. There is a shortage of magnet metals at the moment and demand is expected to increase by a lot in the future.

    Whether BSX should have got involved is another question, but they were approached about the Vietnam opportunities and the project size made it compelling. Same as most here I am not sure what is happening with it because of the problems explained by BSX.
