American companies want to diversify from China but need a reliable and cheap partner.. and Vietnam is going to fill that gap.
It won't happen overnight but given all the rhetoric... next few years are going to cause a lot of changes in supply chain, security, etc.
Not long ago France and Germany were talking about tariffs of 50% on Chinese Evs.
Then US goes ahead and impose 100% tariffs ( a lot higher than anyone thought). It is just a matter of when not if Europeans follow that path.
