Of course, I meant the office of President of the National Assembly will remain vacant until 2026, making the PM of Vietnam the second most powerful politician there, the Party General Secretary is still in his position but at 80 years old there's very likely going to be a change there soon. The current PM is apparently shaping up to be the front runner for that position from what I've read but I'm really not up there with understanding Communist power structures and the internal politics of the Party. It's a bit hard on the MD to blame him entirely for not achieving partners to date with international businesses across the board adopting a wait and see approach to expanding investments in Vietnam. It is reassuring to see Samsung increased its annual investment recently as posted a couple of weeks ago as the situation stabilises in the country however. Ta Khao remains a viable project once everything settles and Vietnamese officials feel brave enough to make decisions and issue permits etc.
