Another pertinent point is that this acquisition we are raising capital for at the moment is for nickel that is most certainly compliant with the US IRA Act which would enable Vinfast's vehicles to become eligible for the subsidies offered by it, increasing it's competitiveness in the Country Vinfast has invested so much in recently. The IRA Act was a stumbling block for Vietnamese nickel and BSX which is being negotiated right now by shoring up suitable supply. The Act came into being about the same time as the inconvenient Financial Review article was published last year. This makes me believe VInfast is still interested in Ta Khao to a degree. Tight lips are essential regarding any negotiations with Vinfast and if or when a deal is signed we will see an announcement only once Vinfast has put pen to paper and given us the nod.
