Re: Newell Highway diversion.
The company had put this out to tender previously and I presume it wasnt competitive (ie low interest, or the quoted works quite high) possibly due to competition from other large projects in the area, like the Parkes Newell Highway bypass currently under construction (https://www.parkes.nsw.gov.au/Counc...ojects-and-works/Parkes-Newell-Highway-Bypass), or the ARTC track upgrades (Narromine to Parkes, part of the larger Melb to Brissie rail upgrade). Both massive civil projects.
Nic mentioned at the Sydney shareholder meeting late last year that they may consider doing some of the civil works themselves (ie they have the earthmoving equipment and operators).... Or by putting the tender back out there in mid 24 they may get more interest as these other local projects wind down. As mentioned in Nic's Corp Storytime interview it'll take 6 months to divert the highway and start mining San Antonio OP. I'm happy to see them weigh up their options on this whilst they get Roswell mining up and running steady state.
