Yes the magnitude of the miss is most alarming and then to follow with an explanation that can only be considered partial leaves the market with a hole to fill. Uncertainty at a time like this is particularly problematic and it will be a slog to regather the enthusiasm and optimism that existed before. Staff costs this quarter will have to be larger and whilst there is the possibility of some offset from reductions elsewhere it's not going to be pretty. Maybe there are a whole bunch of sales waiting for GO but it's likely going to take two straight quarters of over delivering just to get this back to where we were. First there is likely bad news IMO around EPS missing to the downside and a readjustment to annual guidance. If they find a way out of that I'd be amazed.
