Bizarre ! If that is indeed the reason then i wonder why on earth the Spott research dept would bother to go into such detail about projected earnings & timelines for production targets.
A broker i used years ago once told me over lunch that fund managers are a strange species. He said one day the will bail out of a stock due to XY&Z. A few months later they will be buying back in at a higher price. When little had changed for the stock in the intervening period.
