The most profitable gold mines in the US are bulk heap leach oxide mines now and have grades of .3 or .04.
Most deposit can't extract gold this way so STN are onto a good thing here. "Grade is king" only applies to traditional processing operations as bulk HL will kick it's arse in most cases. Some HL operations opex are well under $1000 oz.
