I doubt that very much - with predominantly one commodity the company is then subject to "copper cycles only", which is not good business practice. You only have to look at what happened to Nickel here in AU - only 2 operating facilities left running ..........
Also AU is not a huge copper producer cf Chile, 1/6th of what they produce - and if they ramp up (a bit like what Indonesia has done with Nickel) then crap will hit the fan.
I do think many countries (esp those that trade with China) are "learning" about how to control markets / exploit them for their own benefit and throw in our high costs (due to inept policies / laziness to do anything smarter) is hurting AU.
ANX is bucking that trend though - doing things smarter (bio-leaching) and not using 40+ year tech to leach copper from ore ..........
