While I have covered most of your question in the general thread, the answer is no it is not unique (treatment based around MRD status is common in ALL), but Bisantrene has unique properties that allow MRD focused treatment to be possible for AML. The doctors in the field have recognised the importance of MRD in AML, but they haven’t had any treatments that can change a patient’s MRD status. The hope is Bisantrene might be and effective way to treat MRD in AML, but the only way to find out is to run a trial.
