There are two alternatives:

You can get the health fund to deduct the 30% from the invoice before you pay - this is what I do. So a $300 a month premium becomes $210 and you only pay $210.

Alternatively, you pay the $300 a month and make a claim for the rebate in your tax return and the ATO gives you the $90 back as a rebate
