Yes cutting costs by thinking of going straight into doing a arthroscopy would be a knee jerk reaction instead of doing a scan first to determine if the problem may be more systemic ie from incorrect femur alignment (if that is ever a problem)
Also as more information from scans is collated from the information available in using larger population statistics available to companies like CAJ with multiple clinics then that gives more validation to the effectiveness of the scan diagnosis .
