medicine you don't need, page-17

In regards to calcium buildup in the shoulders, I have recently read that Magnesium may help. The body needs calcium and magnesium in the right ratio, and magnesium deficiency was said to be a very common problem.

The problem is blood tests don't show it up very well, because the body prioritizes the blood's magnesium, taking it from other areas.

In a bit of a sidetrack, Dr William Allbrecht, a soil scientist from the US did a lot of studies on the Calcium/Magnesium ratio in soil, and found that the best balance was around (bad memory at work here...) 60/30/10 (the 10 being other micro nutrients), and this led to the best and healthiest crops. Very relevant I think as per the old saying "You are what you eat", and what's good for the plants is what is good for the animals further down the food chain.

    Cheers,
    Marty
