you could have gone to any public hospital and had service in 1971.

Indeed waiting rooms and service in public hospitals was better in many states before medicare.

Qld in particular had it's public hospitals for decades funded by the Golden Casket --------- no other funds required.


I never saw such long wait times as we sometimes get now.


Medicare is a good thing - but, there was actually life before medicare.

Lets not let all get lost in the wash here!
