November 2021 and December 2021 data Australian Bureau of Statistics, Birth Rate - accessible to the public. Things already start to decline slightly against normal September/October numbers. But November is where it really starts to get interesting, last time we hit a low of 18k births for November was in 1981, 40 years ago. One would hopefully agree with me that our general population has grown significantly since then, so to hit 1981 levels is almost impossible. For December, last time we hit 6k births was never. This is off the scale. Lowest previous ever recorded was in 1979 at 17.5k.
