    As described previously, PVL after TAVR has three main mechanisms: (1) suboptimal placement of the prosthesis with incomplete sealing of the annulus by the valve skirt; (2) incomplete apposition of the valve stent frame due to calcification of the annulus or native valve leaflets; and (3) undersizing of the prosthesis.
