Apparently there was a meeting last week in Manila where GPC defended their performance record at Galoc.
They won out against Nido(who have been baying for blood), in some part through support from Alex Parks who maintained that much of what had happened could have and has happened to many an oil major.
Significant was the lack of support for Nido from the Filipino partners. Maybe they simply see, as I do, that recriminations are of little use now. Learn from any mistakes, have a little more respect for the weather but retain a memory of who did good and who messed (a euphemism for something stronger) up.
