I have not invested in a share that dual listed in the US. My experience has only been dual listings in Hong Kong.

Yes, the dual listing was for the purpose of raising new capital for expansion. I have had a mixed bag of successes. One or two counters have doubled since the HK listing because the business was in China and by and large, HK and China based investors appreciated the China growth story better than any ex-China investors. The listco got its fair valuation, which was the purpose in dual listing in HK anyway.

But others with a global growth story got a muffled to dismal response after the placement. Many reasons account for that including market factors.

I do not mind the dilution if the growth story is intact.

I think the US market would appreciate something is disruptive and structurally different from the incumbent (read decentralisation from centralisation), more than a regional market like the ASX? I stand to be corrected, of course. Let's just watch and see because I don't think a US listing will happen until after 2020, when the growth projectory is more sustained.
