Siren, while I have only fleeting memories of Cultus (who I recall were taken over by OMV on entry to Australia) and no memory of whether the management were any good, it does seem that Mr Rowe is interested in international projects.
The announcement last Friday 28 March of his arrival on Saturday 5 April (gosh he's keen) after the Friday 4 April meeting has him saying " ... I believe that there are also a number of attractive projects in other countries that I may be able to bring to the table." Like Iran no doubt where he claims some experience.
What about just getting some good deals done in Australia mate. The shareholder vote if it gets up is only approving oil and gas exploration onshore in Australia. The Board should read the undertaking given in the Explanatory Memorandum they have sent out.
