The desal is an interesting market. Whilst there is 140 million litres + per day of salty brine produced globally, it is currently pushed into the ocean. This is a huge problem environmentally. The problem is that 140 million litres of desal does not come with the same economic liability as CSG brine due to weak global environmental standards in this regard. I think on a long enough timeline the economic liability will come in line with the environmental liability, and this will open the flood gates to contracts. Until then, I think we would only be able to land desal contracts in tier 1 locations that are looking to tick the ESG box. Dont get me wrong though, an ibc plant would increase fresh water output which would produce a revenue increase, so there is still that, but we are just missing that substitution for waste disposal that we see in the energy and mining sector.
