The lady panelist made a very good point in the video, she said “banks won’t lend for battery material projects,” she then went on to say, “that leaves the equity market for raising funds.”
Sayona have just gone to the equity market and raised $200 million in a flash.
That done, we can now wait for another non-bank source of funds, eg the governments of Canada and Quebec.
Why would they come on board?
Sayona has just demonstrated that they are a worthy candidate and not solely reliant on governmental support.
