More than 30 ambassadors from around the world are showing interest in Greenland's raw materials
Naalakkersuisoq for Raw Materials has just been to Copenhagen, among other places, to hold an information meeting about the Greenlandic minerals. Over 30 different ambassadors from around the world attended the meeting.
A new report from Nordic Innovation, which reports to the Nordic Council of Ministers, shows that there is great potential for raw materials throughout Greenland. Nathanielsen .
According to the Naalakkersuisut, the report also contains a number of recommendations for how Nordic co-operation within the raw materials area can be further strengthened.
The critical minerals that are found all over Greenland include gallium, lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper and many other minerals.
The Naalakkersuisut's bill to ban the exploration and extraction of uranium was passed last year in November 2021. That is, the exploration of other raw materials is prohibited if the average content of uranium in the total resource is above 100 ppm.
