Many don't understand the value in GDO.
For example Megamine is not given fair value by the market, nor some holders.
There have been some misleading posts suggesting it's too deep, unlikely to be profitable with gold at US$1000 etc
What are the facts really?
1) Gold is a fair bit higher than US$1000 !
2) Megamine is not one mine, it's a collection of mines and areas
3) The too deep to mine is laced with bull.
- For example modder runs down to about 530M
- Vent will run about 500 - 900M
- 2 out of 3 targets in Mega are actually at 600m!
4) What about the other target at 2500M, surely this is unlikely to be profitable?
Perhaps if we look at Kloof, a well known mine near ours.
Kloof is an ultra deep mine, not just deep.
Runs to about 3.4ks down.
Is it profitable?
Gold price is running at US$1350
Kloof cash costs are about US$770
They mine say 600,000 o/z per year.
Try $348,000,000 from this one.
Profitable, yes by miles.
Plus, sub nigel is churning out about $4m cash on current production with plenty of scope for upside.
Don't believe the hype, there is value in GDO and mega yet!
