BTR's Perkoa, from what i can find, has cost around $100m to build for 170,000 tonnes of zinc, in concentrate
yet Mehdiabad will cost $1.6b for 200,000 tonnes of zinc, in ingots
zinc loses around 30% of its revenue value when sold in concentrate to the smelter but this does not compensate for the massive CAPEX of Mehdiabad, planned to produce zinc ingots
imo, Mehdiabad was always a bad business decision, for both UCL and its investors
