Sympathies about having to divide the share price yet again to compare with purchase price. I find it utterly repulsive that our MD should be able to prance about with a higher share price without actually creating any shareholder value, so I want him to be forced to wear his underpants on the outside at all AGM's until he stops forcing us to divide the share price, but I see as the spread has narrowed it is a bit difficult give him the thorough tongue lashing he deserves for such an utterly despicable act as having a, excuse the swear word, CONSOLIDATION. As for changing the company name, well that just shows how vain he is and it is another waste of stationery.

The “Tatneftehinvest” holding is to help Iran in oil extraction. Experts also say that if the UN anti-Tehran sanctions are lifted and the tensions in the region subside, the Russian company could even become involved in the development of some oil deposits in Iran.
“Tatneftehinvest” is a coordinating-expert center, and oil producing company “Tatneft” is a key member of the holding. It specializes in the production of heavy crude, a technology which is beyond the competence of many countries in the world, says Gennady Shmal, president of the Russian Oil and Gas Industries Union.
“Heavy crude oil cannot be produced by the conventional method of producing light oil”, Gennady Shnal said.
"Tatneft" has the appropriate technology, says Anatoly Dmitrievsky, Director of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Oil and Gas Problems.
“Tatarstan uses different technologies, which are also known in Russia and the rest of the world. The technologies are the latest and use primarily the wave and gravitational methods of producing high grade crude oil. Tatarstan and “Taftneft” are masters in this field. Therefore, "Taftneft" will be successful in its Iranian venture”, Anatoly Dmitrievsky promised.
But the UN anti-Iran sanctions are making cooperation between Russian companies and their Iranian counterparts a little difficult. Hence their cooperation is limited to technological exchanges for now, says Dmitrievsky:
“Technology should be accessible to all, especially in the oil and gas fields. After all, energy sufficiency and energy security concern everybody in the world, meaning that collaboration is in the interest of the whole world”.
"If the sanctions on Tehran are lifted, the result could be a wider activity in the country of Russian companies, which would not cause concern in the rest of the world. For now however, their cooperation promises to be mutually beneficial . Iran will get new technology, while Russia gets an opportunity for testing and upgrading the technology," says Gennady Shmal.
"It is cooperation with a nation, which is one of the potential greats in the Middle East. Russia should maintain close scientific and technological contacts with Tehran, in order to strengthen bilateral ties with that country. In exchange, Russia will be rewarded with full participation in the development of Iran’s huge oil fields”, Gennady Shmal hopes.
Russian oil companies have been cooperating with Iran since 2006, and "Rusal” has plans to construct a nuclear plant in that country, while “Rostechnology” is to begin to mine zinc-silicon deposits in Mehdiabad, in collaboration with an Iranian company.
