    I think MEI has moved to 6mtpa to differentiate themselves from VMM as I believe their head grade doesn't have as high a concentration of MREO vs VMM, thus will show lower economics for a like for like study. Im sure VMM will move up to a 6mt pa for the DFS to be comparable, and overall it should lower opex, which is great. I could be wrong but that's what I can tell from the MEIs MRE releases and MREO content.

    I see MEI is still sharing their hits using TREO rather than MREO, which is also misleading, most of their goodTREO hits are 20% MREO or below, which is why I have the above view on their high grade MREO component. They mentioned many times that they have the highest grade IAC project globally, but that's on TREO and not MREO, which is what really matters.

    Also I'm pretty sure the locals won't want 4 plants within a 30km radius like Tunks mentioned, VMM are more in tune with this and is why they're planning a slurry pipeline.

    Just my opinion.
