The directors are not particularly wealthy, so their holdings will be heavily diluted.
This does not mean that they do not believe in their own company.

I did contact someone at SAS yesterday in regard to the progress of the entitlement offer.
They were not prepared to tell me what the uptake was (quite understandably, as this would be insider info), however, did indicate that it was progressing quite well.

We will know on Tuesday what the shortfall will be.
