I don't wish to be argumentative, but I do have the full history in front of me going back to 1998.
The name Fortescue with code FMG came in to existence as I said in August 2003. Before that it was called Allied Medical, nothing to do with iron ore, and it was not until Andrew Forrest became involved that it changed to an iron ore company.
I have just been reading the relevant announcements around that period.
It is easily provable that FMG, the iron ore company, came in to existence on 5th August 2003, and has not changed in any way since, except for the share split. And the massive price rise....
