I get more bang for my buck using the current system and im not exposed to holding a volatile currency , paying commissions to brokers to buy/sell bitcoins and i get interest in the bank.
Absolutely no argument with that at all. Its all true.
When we talk about the 'current system', we forget that it is very different to the system of even ten years ago. How often do you go a bank branch now? How often do you use cheques? Do you now swipe your smartphone to board a plane? Tap your phone to transfer money? Think about it.
I think that bitcoin is something like the internet when it first appeared. People were very skeptical. We all know a few old people who refuse to have anything to do with it even now, and they are so far behind that they now depend on their grandkids to do electronic 'stuff' for them.
The longer people resist this, the bigger will be the explosion when it starts to become mainstream. That could be a long way off, but the way in which technology develops today, I think it is much closer than people think.
There are some pretty smart wealthy people at the lead of this. They're not stupid. And stand to make a fortune.
