Todays Sp action is a concern, and totally due to the REE imo.
The Sp has closed stably on that 5 min bollie line for a while and today not. Yet Gold is up massively over night and also the futures today.
Yes the Sp was always going to retrace due to the opening gap at 6.9 c. The upper bollie on the 5 min capped the rise at 7.3. I bought a trading parcel based on the technicals at 6.9 and expected the Sp to close as always on the median bollie or perhaps the upper bollie. But after the initial hype by 11 am odd the macd crossed lower and it was obvious the mkt was not impressed with the REE announcement. AGAIN, against a back ground of previous great Gold news both from MEK and POG including futures.
@setfire2thehive posted wonderfully as always re the problems with REE for MEK. He in fact a big buyer of ITM but admitting in his post that it will be the graphite not the REE.
If you look at CAI you see that moving from Gold explorer to Gold producer took them to over $1. (I own CAI). But since the Lithium story has been progressed CAI is now BELOW where it was as an explorer in 2017!!!!!!!!!!!! In other words it is no longer responding to POG improvements. HC posters are citing water issues but if you look at EVN (which I also own), it has significant issues with Redlake but has jumped with the POG increases over $1 to almost $3.
Being a focused Gold explorer moving to producer is what is required. The REE bandwagon IMO, is a detrimental distraction.
