The appears to be a lot of dominos lining up here.
-ESG and AGL pipelines to Newcastle
-ESG invests 25 mil in a piece of dirt in Newcastle Harbour
-AGL pipleine to Hexam (joins to ESG pipeline to harbour?)
-ESG pipeline also runs past a couple of MAJOR power stations (Bayswater / Liddell)
-Other power stations (Eraring / Munmorah and Vales Point) not that much further south <100K
-Once other pipeline to Wellington - it is not to far from Lithgow (Wallerawang)
That covers the majority of the coal fired power stations in NSW (see below)
Bayswater 2,640 MW bituminous open cut
Eraring 2,640 MW bituminous underground
Liddell 2,000 MW bituminous open cut
Mt Piper 1,400 MW bituminous underground
Munmorah 600 MW bituminous underground
Redbank 150 MW bituminous (tailings) open cut
Vales Point 1,320 MW bituminous underground
Wallerawang 1,000 MW bituminous underground
Santos might be saying sionara to its 35% share as it meanders its way south.
NSW could become the Greenhouse Glamour State in a very short timeframe.
Now how much would ESG be worth....., then also consider that MEL now has an option to connect south at a reduced cost. (either to Gloucester or Narrabri).
